Pre-Algebra Math Skills Workshop at Leonia Library
This summer, NeuroHabit hosted a six-week Pre-Algebra Math Skills Workshop at the Leonia Public Library for a 20 student ass with students in grades 4–6. Each week, students explored topics such as patterns, fractions and decimals, ratios and proportions, and problem-solving through hands-on activities and team challenges.
From budgeting challenges to creating a “Math Museum” and teaching their peers, students applied math in engaging and interactive ways. Students also utilized NeuroHabit’s study templates to practice evidence-based strategies such as active recall, making connections, mistake analysis, and teaching others, helping them develop stronger learning habits alongside their math skills.

Math Tutoring Program at Master Klass Academy
This summer, NeuroHabit provided free math tutoring to middle school students at Master Klass Academy preparing for the Bergen County Academies (BCA) entrance exam. Through guided practice, challenging problems, and individualized support, students strengthened key math and problem-solving skills needed for the exam. Tutors incorporated NeuroHabit’s evidence-based study strategies and learning techniques into each session, helping students approach difficult problems more effectively while building study habits they could continue using throughout their BCA preparation.
